Having a problem with the instrument not holding a tune but the seller has gone above and beyond to try to make things right. I'll update this when resolved but I am happy with the response so far.

Really nice. Can play louder than you might think for not having a sound hole like a guitar (there is a small adjustable sound vent on top of the instrument and an open rosette on the end). Seems to respond best to fingernails or plectrum. An oud risha works well. The non-western fret spacing will be a learning curve, but it is indeed a fun and pleasant sounding lute.
